From Kurt Warner to Keyshawn Johnson

from Kurt to Keyshawn

From Kurt to Keyshawn has less meaning when I leave out their last names. I won’t likely have to mention what they’ve done. If I simply add their last names, Kurt Warner and Keyshawn Johnson. So this is the story of how I played basketball with Kurt Warner in Iowa when he played for the Barnstormers. I worked and lived at the River Front YMCA. Before working at the YMCA, I was a sales manager at the once Family Fitness Center in San Jose, California. A sales rep. and fitness trainer for 24hour nautilus for almost two years. However, I arrived in Des Moines, Iowa, and applied for a room and a job at the YMCA. The only opening they had was a janitor, towel folder, and locker room cleaner. The locker-room that didn’t offer tips.

From Kurt Warner to Keyshawn Johnson-cont.

From Kurt to Keyshawn continues on a great journey from a low starting point to achieving great success by even being there. So, after working in the private locker room once. I learned old white men like walking around the locker room naked; therefore, not worth the tips. At the time, the Barnstoremers worked out at the YMCA; so, I had the chance to play basketball with the team. This was for a few months; so, I had personal conversations with Kurt and some of the players. I hadn’t played any sports in a while and it showed. However, I’m a baller who knows three months of daily running can take care of that. https://agreeneenterprise.com/?v=7516fd43adaa

My Word

I’d given Kurt my word I’d go and try out for the team. Well shortly after that I had my fourth child Veronica. I had forgotten about the tryout and learned it was a week away. No way could I get into playing shape that fast for a semi-pro tryout. Should I just not show or go because I gave my word. Well at the time I was coming up from being down on my luck. Starting over meant being the janitor, or taking food orders. So, I then entered the car business after an invite years earlier in Northern California. I passed before I knew how much money could be made. Well at the tryout I ran horribly. In fact, Kurt Warner ran with me on my second forty-yard dash. That’s right the NFL Hall of Famer ran a forty-yard dash with me, in jeans. https://www.linkedin.com/home

Bragging Rights

Bragging rights because I kept my word! Pride is on another level in Beverly Hills, which is where Keyshawn Johnson comes into my story. Who would have bet a guy who lived in the River Front YMCA would make his way to Beverly Hills to sell BMW’s, not even me. Well, maybe now, after doing it and looking back on my life. I’m blessed to have accomplished things when people said I couldn’t. At the time, I had just made Internet Manager at Beverly Hills BMW. The new Seven Series was just coming out. The managers said the words an Internet Manager dreads. We won’t be discounting the new Seven’s. Well, on the Internet, all the other 13 dealers didn’t have that luxury. I watched those people walk in their proudly and spend $100k +. https://www.linkedin.com/in/purmongreene-loves-kids/

Keyshawn Johnson

I watched them come in by the dozens and take delivery of that new Seven. Some looked at me with that inferior eye, believing I couldn’t do the same. Then one day in came Keyshawn Johnson, to buy his new Seven Series. I can say I know a little about Keyshawn Johnson. I had the chance to eat his mother’s food at the restaurant around the corner from the dealership. His guys treated me like a king. I ate and drank the best food and expensive bottles of Champaign. They wouldn’t take my money. As the Internet Manager, I just did my job. I got some approved for loans and gave fair deals. Well back to the story of Keyshawn buying the new Seven from me and my family. So, Keyshawn picks out a black/black Seven with all the goodies.

All the Goodies Fully Loaded

So, me and Keyshawn are at my desk. I’m righting up the only Seven I sold from the first batch. I learned why Keyshawn decided to buy from us. Other dealerships had Sevens, but they were afraid to load them up. In Beverly Hill’s only the loaded will fit the bill. Keyshawn wanted a fully loaded Seven like the rest of the bunch who came in to buy the new model. Keyshawn then kicks his feet up on my desk. Moving a few things out the way. Now some might have gotten mad or even said something. I just kept writing, cause little did he know; so, if I had a pillow I’d had placed it under his feet. I was so proud to have a black man come in and buy that car at that time. It was a blessing to me and my family, Steve Harvey & Mike Tyson. https://www.linkedin.com/in/purmongreene-loves-kids/detail/recent-activity/shares/

  1. Having read this I believed it was very informative.
I appreciate you spending some time and effort to
put this article together. I once again find myself spending a significant amount of time
both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!

  2. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point.

You clearly know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog
when you could be giving us something informative to read?

  3. I really like your blog.. very nice colors & theme. Did you create this website
yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you?

Plz answer back as I’m looking to construct my
own blog and would like to find out where u got this from.
    thank you
